Okay, so it’s not really writing…

February 25, 2008

…but we were using our language skills to put together some adverts in Friday Afternoon Activities.

In two groups of four, we had to script and record a “radio-style” advert about an everyday classroom object.

We chose the delights of PAPER and RUBBERS.

Enjoy!

Stop-motion animation

November 16, 2007

On Tuesday we (P5,6 and 7) started planning our Christmas stop- motion stories. We got put in three groups, a P7 one, a P6 one with a P5 and two P7s in it, and a P5 group. I was in the P7 group along with Kerry, Keri, Toby, Edward, Calum and Sam. Our story was about four snowmen who live on top of Ben Resipole, one day they were having a snowball fight when they see Santa, he accidentally drops the elf’s bag of irn bru. They run towards it but then a fat snowboarding snowman comes and steals it, the four snowmen grab their snow-boards and race after him but then the fat snowman trips and bumps into the other snowmen they end up being a big snowball! Then they bash into a rock, but the elf comes and takes his bag of irn bru back. He drinks it all and goes hyper, then he falls over and rolls down the hill making  another snowball. It bashes into the other snowball and forms a even bigger snowball! They roll over the rock, down the hill, through the main road, into Tescos and then they bash into a pile of irn bru. Then they drink it all.  The End

Why do we need our new school?

September 5, 2007

We need a new school because the one we have is falling apart. We have leaks in the roof, dangerous sockets that are hanging out and the sockets are damp, a fire door that comes off its hinges every time you open the door, mouldy toilets, dead mice are found in Mrs Ford’s classroom and the worst thing of all was most of the classrooms are battered up. The school looks like a mess from the outside.            You would probably not like to walk into a classroom and think that the roof would fall in! Your school is probably a very enjoyable school that has good facilities and is homely to you! If that is how your school is then you should see our school! It is absolutely terrible because we have many problems like the carpets in some of the classroom are bad because people can trip over it and really hurt themselves!   Please try and help us get our new school.                               By Alex

There are HUNDREDS - thanks Robbie! - of photos to put up of our whole-school ski trip to the Nevis Range yesterday and it’ll take a wee while to sort them out.  In the meantime, you might want to read some blogs emailed in for homework (how exciting!) by Toby, Ben and Thomas
